Latest studies show that dogs understand us better than we thought. The research shows that dogs are more likly to steel food in a dark room than in a lit one. This suggests that our buddies are capable of understanding our point of view and they do have a theory of mind. Even more, they do "read" us even better than our closest "relatives"- chimpanzees. Bred as our companions for ages they are especially tuned to understand our emotions.
